About the Artist

Julia B. Icenogle was born one muggy Kansas afternoon in July. That same year in October, she discovered her hands and realized their potential for holding crayons. After two years of intense study, practice, and frustration, she drew her first igloo, pictured right. Her parents immediately recognized Julia's talent with a crayon, and in an attempt to keep her art on paper and off the living room walls, they sent her to a bunch of art classes. To this day, Julia still enjoys drawing igloos and other things.

When she is not doodling, Julia is working as a occupational therapist specializing in hand rehabilitation in Eugene, Oregon.
